Pride at Westbury
PrideFest
Our PrideFest stands as a beacon of unity and celebration, embracing individuals from all walks of life, irrespective of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, or background. At Westbury UMC PrideFest, our mission is clear: to cultivate a space that's not just welcoming and safe but profoundly inclusive, ensuring there's room at the table for everyone.
Saturday, June 27th 10AM-1PM
Westbury United Methodist Church invites you to our celebration of LGBTQ+ community at our PrideFest held Saturday, June 27th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We believe that each of us is a beloved child of God and perfectly made in God's image. We look forward to celebrating with you!
This is a family-friendly outdoor event that will include food from Kindred Kitchen, snow cones, music, crafts, yard games, waterslide, vendors, and more!
Join Kindred!
Kindred is an adult Sunday class for those who enjoy different perspectives, asking hard questions, and giving thoughtful answers.
We study a variety of materials — some are social justice oriented, others are traditionally Methodist in nature. We welcome all participants — all adult generations and genders and ethnicities, gay and straight and LGBTQ+ allies. We meet Sundays at 9:30am and socially at other times.
For Pride, Kindred is reading and discussing together The Bible and the Transgender Experience: How Scripture Supports Gender Variance by Linda Tatro Herzer.
