A five-week worship series on the Beatitudes called, “Blessed Are...” focuses on the transformative sayings of Jesus. By offering these blessings, Jesus reclaims and redefines the circumstances of people normally considered to be unfortunate.
Beginning on September 11 with “Blessed Are Those Who Mourn,” the series will continue on September 18 with “Blessed Are the Peacemakers,” and September 25 with “Blessed Are Those Who Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness.” Special guests John Perkins and Shane Claiborne will be joining us in worship on World Communion Sunday, October 2, as they dialogue on “Blessed Are the Poor and the Poor in Spirit.” The series will conclude with “Blessed Are Those Who Are Persecuted” on October 9.
Join us in worship every Sunday at 10:45 am in the Sanctuary.
