'With Hearts and Hands and Voices' BIM Service of Thanksgiving on Nov. 24

On Sunday, November 24, at 4:00 pm, Westbury Baptist Church will host the annual Braes Interfaith Ministries (BIM) Service of Thanksgiving. With cooperative community programs supported by 12 local congregations, BIM has been serving the needs of people in southwest Houston for over 25 years.

“Westbury Baptist Church is especially excited to host this year as November marks Westbury Baptist's 50th anniversary," says Kyle Damron, minister of worship.

"Our church family is delighted to open our doors to our extended family, the Braes Interfaith community. It is my hope that our worship gathering, With Hearts and Hands and Voices, will bring glory to God and reflect the diversity of our faith communities as well as the unity of our shared mission to love and serve others in our community."

At the host church, located at 10425 Hillcroft Street, worship will be led by members of BIM congregations. Combined choirs of the participating faith communities will offer the music for the service. Rev. Taylor Fuerst, senior pastor of Westbury UMC, will be preaching.

"As the 'new preacher on the block,' I'm eager to deliver the message," says Rev. Fuerst who was recently appointed to Westbury UMC.

"Serving in a community where the variety of congregations and clergy embrace one another in common mission is truly a gift. I'm excited to come together at this time of year and offer thanks for all that God has done and continues to do in this community."
