Welcoming our new senior pastor, Rev. Taylor Fuerst

Taylor Fuerst and familyWestbury UMC's newly appointed senior pastor, Rev. Taylor Fuerst, will begin her ministry with us on Sunday, June 9. All are invited to a Welcome Reception in her honor following worship in the Parlor.

Pastor Taylor comes highly recommended by the bishop and all who know her. Most recently, she has served as Associate Director of the Office of Clergy Excellence for the Texas Annual Conference. In that role, Taylor raised money for various initiatives, worked in clergy recruitment in our seminaries and served in leadership on national boards. Prior to that position, she served as an associate pastor at St Luke’s UMC in Houston. Taylor is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and a native of Sugar Land.

Taylor is married to Rev. Brad Fuerst, a Lutheran pastor serving in campus ministry in Houston. They have two children and are expecting a third child in July of this year.

We rejoice in welcoming Taylor and her family to Westbury and pray God’s blessings for them as they become a part of our church family.
