More Than Enough Love Day on March 23

More Than Enough LoveIt's that time again! Our spring More Than Enough Love Community Service Day will be on Saturday, March 23, from 8 am–2 pm. Volunteers will meet at the church for a short worship service and light breakfast. Then we'll disperse to our work sites. 

  1. Trash Bash at Little Thicket Park (All ages welcome) | Gather along the Little Thicket Park waterway to help clean the environment and participate in the largest statewide event to educate the public about the importance of water resources.
  2. Westbury Community Garden (All ages welcome) | Help expand the community garden by building new beds and planting fruit trees.
  3. Medical Bridges (Ages 15 and up) | Sort and pack medical supplies and equipment to be distributed to less fortunate countries.
  4. Houston Food Bank (Ages 8 and up) | Help sort and pack food donations to be distributed to our community.
  5. The Beacon (Ages 13 and up) | Serve poor and homeless individuals by preparing a hot meal, handing out clean clothing and doing other tasks for people living on the streets of Houston.
  6. Lunch Preparation (All ages welcome) | Prepare, pack and deliver lunch to the MTEL sites. Preparation will take place at Westbury UMC.
