Westbury UMC has been actively developing a master plan for our facilities. A committee, chaired by Dan Grinstead, has been working since June with Merriman Holt Powell architectural firm to assess the needs of our ministries, the gifts and challenges of current facilities, and our goals and hopes for the future. Through interviews with staff and ministry leaders and visits to other churches, we are gathering what we need to envision ways that our building can be adapted, renovated and renewed.
On Sunday, August 2, immediately following worship, all are invited to linger in the Sanctuary, where we will hear from the architect and committee about what we have learned and what to expect in the next couple of months.
There will be a brief presentation, followed by an opportunity for questions and further discussion with the architect and committee members. We hope you’ll come and see what God is doing as we dream about another 60 years of ministry at Westbury UMC!
