When we think about what it means to follow Christ, everything boils down to two things: love God and love neighbor. In fact, when Jesus was asked about what was most important in the law, his response was:
'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' (Matt. 22:37-38)
We are called to love God with our whole being--everything we are! It's not enough to believe God is out there, that God exists. As Christians, we desire to know God deeply through worship, prayer, conversations with other Christians and studying the Bible. By intentionally spending time in these activities, we experience God's presence more fully in our lives and realize that reciprocal love, the incredible relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.
