Just a few weeks ago, a group of folks from the Texas Annual Conference journeyed to Kenya. Rev. Hannah Terry, Associate Pastor of FAM (Fondren Apartment Ministry) and Rev. Thera Freeman, Director of Youth and Young Adults for the Conference, were among those who made the journey.
While there, they witnessed the incredible life transformation of orphaned youth through a UMC-sponsored empowerment program called ZOE. Rev. Terry and Rev. Freeman are eager to tell you all about it and how this empowerment ministry connects with us.
Join us in the Parlor from noon to 1 pm on Sunday, March 1, for a home-cooked meal of African chickpea soup and crusty bread. All are welcome—please sign up at the church office or email firstname.lastname@example.org to help us estimate how much soup to cook!
