Worship on Palm Sunday, April 1, at 10:45 am, will feature full choir and orchestra performance of the dramatic cantata, “The Rose of Calvary.” That morning, the children will lead a festive processional with palm branches.
Remembering Christ’s final meal with his disciples, we will worship on Maundy Thursday, April 5, with identical services at noon and 7:00 pm.
Good Friday, April 6, commemorates Christ’s death with a somber service at noon.
On Easter morning, April 8, we will joyfully celebrate the risen Christ by worshipping at 8:00 and 10:45 am, along with our Spanish-language service at 11:00 am. An Easter egg hunt for preschoolers and an egg "launch" for K-5th graders will be held during the Sunday school hour at 9:30 am. No Easter baskets needed--just expect a lot of fun!
Whether you worship with us this Easter or anytime of year, you are genuinely welcome here. At Westbury United Methodist Church, we strive to be a place for all ages, nations and races to gather together to love God and love neighbor.
With over 20 nationalities represented within our congregation, we sing and pray in different languages from across the globe to unite our voices and hearts in faith. As reflected in our worship, diversity is fully embraced and enjoyed.
We delight in having children in worship with the entire church family. As another option, our nursery is open for infants through age 4, and young children in K-2nd grades are invited to attend a kid-friendly sermon activity for just a portion of the service. Learn more about worship.
