Worshipers exit the Sanctuary on a sunny day

Welcome to Westbury United Methodist Church!

We want you—our guests—to feel welcome. With that in mind, please check out our answers to some common questions.

When Is Worship?

Our Sunday worship service is at 10:45 am in the Sanctuary. The Spanish language service is at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Get more details about Worship.

Where Is Westbury UMC?

On the corner of Willowbend and West Bellfort. See Map & Directions.

Where Do I Park?

There are two main entrances into the parking lot, which is located behind the church. Access to the parking lot is off West Bellfort and on Cedarhurst. Once you arrive, look for the sign that says "To Sanctuary" and a greeter will gladly direct you to the Sanctuary...or follow the signs!

What Can I Expect?

We hope you'll feel warmly welcomed by our greeters, ushers and church family. The Westbury UMC family is multi-generational with over 20 nationalities represented. Dress tends to be business casual, but people feel welcome in a wide range—from suits to jeans, as well as traditional fashion from one's home country.

What About My Children?

There are Sunday School classes at 9:30 am for all age groups, including children and youth. Children gather in classrooms on the main floor in the children's wing. Youth gather upstairs in the youth wing. A greeter will gladly point you in the right direction to get your children registered and placed in an age-appropriate classroom. Infants and toddlers are cared for by our loving, trained nursery staff in the children's wing.

Children and youth are more than welcome and encouraged to worship with their families. As an option, the nursery is available for infants through age 4. Additionally, mid-way through the worship service, 4-year-olds–2nd graders are invited to go with our children's ministry staff to Children's Worship Time where they will engage scripture, share a time of prayer and offering. Read more about Children.

How Do I Become a Member?

At the end of each Sunday worship service, an opportunity to join the church will be extended. During the closing song, come forward and the pastors will greet you at the front of the church. You will be introduced to the congregation and led in acceptance of the membership vows. Please be prepared to stay after the service to be welcomed, fill out an information sheet and have your photograph taken for the church newsletter. Don't want to join alone? Be part of our Commitment Sunday, November 19. This is a Sunday where you can become a member in a group setting. For more information on becoming a member, please contact Pastor Danny Yang at
