SamÕs, Walmart join SCRIP list
Westbury youth are pleased to offer
SCRIP cards again this year. These will be especially useful to you as graduations and weddings approach.
What is a SCRIP card?
A
SCRIP card can be used as a gift card for weddings,
graduations, birthdays, etc. It can also be used as a debit card—you can buy groceries and
gas with the card until it’s
used up.
Where can I get SCRIP cards?
What merchants offer SCRIP cards?
Hundreds of merchants including SamÕs Club, Walmart, Kroger, Best Buy,
Circuit City, Olive Garden, Bed Bath and Beyond, Shell, Exxon Mobil,
Chevron, iTunes, Home Depot, Lowe’s,
Edwards Cinema, Loews Cinema, and others.
How much do they cost?
SCRIP
cards are offered in various denominations, like gift cards.
The amounts vary from merchant to merchant, but are usually in the $10
to
$50 range.
What’s in it for Westbury Youth?
It doesn’t cost you a penny to use
the card, but Westbury youth get a percentage—averaging about 8%—of
every card they sell, donated by the merchants. Since you already buy
gift cards, groceries, gas, etc., there is no extra cost to you, and
Westbury earns a small amount for their mission trips.
